Mollie and Silas

With the Smokey Mountains forming an exquisite backdrop, this gorgeous outdoor wedding was, in a word, serene. Silas and Mollie (like many of my clients) chose not to see each other until the ceremony so all of their pictures together took place afterward.

A helpful tip- have the bridal pictures (bride with her party and solo shots) and grooms pictures done beforehand. Most brides look their best and are more relaxed before the ceremony allowing for more natural shots. After the ceremony, start with the family portraits, as these tend to take the most time. Then move on to the whole wedding party and finally finish off with just the newlyweds. Getting some of the photography out of the way before the ceremony will hopefully eliminate the rushed feeling and will give the photographer time to capture some unique and creative shots.

This Tennessee wedding is a perfect example of this. The natural flow from one event to the next allowed us to catch the joy, magic, and emotion of this beautiful day. To view the complete wedding gallery, go to

Congratulations Mollie and Si!
