Jourdan & Corey- An Engagement Session

I first met Jourdan and Corey a couple months ago while shooting another wedding. Recently engaged, they asked me to shoot their wedding next August as well as an engagement session. With Fall quickly coming to a close, we arranged a day in the park and were able to catch the vivid colors of the leaves before they disappeared. The sleepy little park gave us a great combination of nature and fun structure. Congrads on your engagement, Jourdan and Corey- we're looking forward to the wedding next year!

Nikkiy’s Bridal Session

Weddings can be hurried affairs where emotions are displayed publicly- one of the biggest challenges can be capturing the natural, unflustered beauty of the bride. A pre-ceremony bridal session not only showcases the bride’s radiance but also allows the photographer to get to know what angles and light create the most natural images. I met up with Nikkiy on a very overcast afternoon to see how many pictures we could capture before the downpour. As luck would have it, we finished just as the first few sprinkles came down. The benefit of shooting on an overcast day is the lighting is excellent- we just made sure we had an umbrella ready to keep her lovely dress from getting wet! Thanks for braving the weather, Nikkiy!
