Tanja and Matt: Engagement at Tempe Town Lake

This vintage e-session is straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel! I met up with Tanja and Matt at Tempe Town Lake this week to find a spot that was beautiful, green, romantic and non-dessert-like. This can sometimes be a hopeless task in Arizona… in the middle of winter, but we were successful! With the sun setting around us, we took advantage of the bridges, train tracks and water fountains that Tempe has to offer.

Tanja and Matt, you guys are drop dead gorgeous! I had such a great evening with you and I am counting down the days till your March wedding!

Melina and Joaquin: Engagement in Sedona

When I met with Melina and Joaquin, they told me they wanted their engagement pictures to be fun, unique, and striking. I immediately thought: Sedona! It’s winter here in Arizona which makes for fantastic, overcast skies without the brutal cold. (We just returned from the East Coast and their 23 degree weather- no thank you- I’ll take Arizona any day!)

We met Melina and Joaquin early in the morning to shoot a sunrise session. We started out at Bell Rock to get some dazzling shots with the rocks and then moved on to Tlaquepaque. I must say, for anyone thinking of a session or wedding at Tlaquepaque, it’s a great spot! It’s romantic and exotic without being fussy or over-the-top. Every time we shoot there we find new nooks and crannies to use!

Melina and Joaquin, you two are beautiful! Thanks for sharing your morning with us; we’re looking forward to your wedding!!

New York City

Gotta love the tripod and timer, this was shot on the balcony of our hotel room! We're in New York City and loving every minute of it! Tonight Nathan and I went to see “Stomp” at the Orpheum Theatre. Can I please just say, it was incredible! We love anything to do with Broadway, theater, dance, music, etc and we’ve been privileged to see quite a few shows in theaters all around the world… “Stomp” at the Orpheum definitely rates high on our list!! We took a ten minute cab ride away from the dazzle of Time Square and the grunge of the location added to the feel of the show itself. We also had seats in the second row so the performers were ten feet away. Phenomenal! Go see it- full stop!
We have a full day tomorrow with several engagement sessions around Manhattan. I’d like to give a shout out to our clients in advance: props to you! It was 23 degrees today and scheduled to be colder tomorrow and yet our brave couples are meeting us in Central Park and Time Square for pictures!
Check back soon. I’ll try to get some pictures of the sessions posted soon!

This weekend we had the privilege of capturing Cara and Mache’s lovely wedding in the Carolinas. There will be many more pictures in the days to come, but here is a sneak peek of the beautiful couple:
