Jones Maternity Session

When Amber and Steve asked us about shooting their maternity session, we were thrilled. While January can be a bleak and cold month for some parts of the country, it’s downright gorgeous in Arizona! We’ve known Amber and Steve for many years which just made this shoot all the more fun! They had a lot of creative ideas and adorable little props- Amber made the blocks and chalkboard herself! And don’t even get me started on the little pair of Vans. Too cute!

Congratulations, you two! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of little Samuel!

A couple weeks ago, Nathan and I went up to Fountain Hills to shoot the Lee / Kenkel wedding. We had had the pleasure of meeting Jana and Neil several months back and taking their engagement pictures so we were very excited to see them again and capture their wedding day. That morning on the drive up to the ceremony location, the entire sky was packed with angry clouds and I just knew it was going to rain. We met up with the bride and groom, got through the getting ready photos... no rain! Jana and Neil had arranged to see each other before the ceremony and the grounds of Eagle Mountain Golf Club are incredible so we had to go outside. We did the couple's first moment of seeing each other... still no rain! Outdoor ceremony, family pictures, and a golf cart ride out onto the course at sunset... no rain! In fact, just as the sun was beginning to set, the angry clouds did a happy little dance and broke apart letting the sun rays and color burst through! What an amazing day! A beautiful couple, a gorgeous location and perfect timing... it poured rain our entire drive home!

Jana and Neil, you two are the greatest! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of something so special! We hope you love these captured moments as much as we do!

What happens when it rains, I mean RAINS, on the most important day of your life?? You get a beautiful chance to dance in the rain and quite possibly create the most romantic moment of your life! That's exactly what Jessica and Robert did on a day that started with thunderstorms and ended with moonlight magic. This couple has so much love for each other that nothing could interfere with their happiness of knowing they were about to marry their best friend! So bring on the rain! Oh, and by the way, after the ceremony was moved inside, it was still such a lovely service that it brought tears to my eyes. Love, happiness, memories... now isn't that what a wedding is truly all about!

We had the amazing opportunity to fly to Seattle for Bridget and Casey’s downtown chic wedding with an elegant ceremony at the Blessed Sacrament Church and a harbor reception at Lake Washington Row Club. Complete with the Blue Angels flying above, this day was packed with celebration, beauty and the kind of trendy uniqueness that can only be found in Seattle! Bridget and Casey, thank you so much for sharing your special day with us! You two are even more fun than the day was!

Harrington / Wellman Wedding

We had the great pleasure of capturing Elizabeth and Robert's exquisite wedding day on the beautiful shores of Traverse City, Michigan last month. Their venue was the Grand Traverse Resort and the colors of the day were so rich and vibrant! Everything from the flowers and bridesmaids dresses to the greenery and the crystal blue waters of Lake Michigan... just breathtaking!! There is something extra romantic about a beach wedding in my book. Izzy and Robert, you two are amazing! We had so much fun seeing you again and wish you the happiest of futures!

We did work while we were in Michigan... really, we did!

From the vineyards of Traverse City to the harbors of Grandhaven, we had quite a journey in Michigan last week. We flew into TVC only to find that there was a film festival underway and our reserved rental car had been given away. With a Saturday wedding in Traverse City and a Sunday wedding 3 hours south in Grand Rapids we were forced to take taxis and do a LOT of walking. Luckily, the weather and the scenery were marvelous!

Meet Savannah Rose

We had the pleasure of shooting David and Crystal’s wedding a few years back so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to fly out to Indianapolis and photograph their new baby girl, Savannah Rose! We shot in their home, relaxed and intimate and we were able to catch some great cuddle time between mom, dad and baby!

I love this shot because Savannah couldn't decide if she liked her headband or not! Oh the price we gals pay for fashion!
